Feb. 11th, 2016 01:21 pmSo I've got a bunch of eggs for you guys.
[Well, it sounds like Ginti is about as pleased as usual to be addressing everyone, by which I mean he seems bored out of his mind; there isn't any video, as usual, but you can hear it, though at the very least he's talking about something generally accepted as a good thing today.]
I'm not going to ask you to pay me for them, because I'm not into the idea of selling babies. Because no. But I'm not giving them to just anyone, either – we're going to do this right or not at all, and that means I've got paperwork for you to fill out. If you can't answer a few short questions, I'm going to assume you don't really want one.
If you're the sort of person to ask me why the hell I'm bothering with any of this for a bunch of fish, then you also obviously don't really want one, so don't waste my time.
[...Literally all that some of these damn things want is for you to pet them and call them pretty. You'd better pet them and call them pretty.]
I don't do any get-out-of-bureaucracy-free things for newcomers, either. Just answer the stupid questions. It's not hard.
[And attached to the message is a list of Pokémon and their egg moves, as well as...well, it does appear to be a questionnaire. Go ahead and fill it out if you'd like one; he's not going to just hand you one without it, so.]
[...His sales pitch could use some work. Hopefully the egg moves make up for it a bit.]
[OOC: There are still a bunch of eggs left!]

Jan. 9th, 2016 11:41 am...You know, I'm really lenient about what passes for 'evolving' around here? I try to not get into the whole 'okay, but it doesn't work like that' thing, because nothing makes sense around here. I get it.
But at the same time, there's got to be a line in the sand somewhere.
[And that is said with all the exasperation of a man who is building up to something, sounds like. Sure enough, there are a couple of photos posted to the network eventually, and...well.
For all intents and purposes, they look pretty normal?
However.]
...I'm seriously not sure if this counts as evolving or just deciding to be perpetually pissed off.
I mean, I can't blame it? If somebody shoved a damn rock in my face and expected me to fix my damn fighting skills with it I'd probably be pretty mad too. But still. "Come the hell on" has got to be a totally reasonable response to this.

Oct. 19th, 2015 07:09 pmYou know, I was going to ask whether anyone else has seen these things running around, but that's pretty much a completely moot point by now if the panic all over is anything to judge by.
So at risk of asking a dumb question, I'm going to wonder why these things are so damn violent – apparently everyone's getting mauled all over, when even failed captures don't get up and decide to bite you. Is there a reason these things are so freaked out, or...
[...]
Well, one more question, I guess.
[And there will be an image sent out shortly; it's kind of...well, it certainly is a thing all right, let's put it that way.]
Is this thing okay? It doesn't even have a face, and that's probably why the damn thing hasn't bitten me yet.

004. [ANON TEXT]
Sep. 5th, 2015 07:42 amSo once in a while we get this flashmob of people that show up and post all sorts of anonymous ethics stuff to the network and then they just kind of run off and then a couple months later it happens again, and I don't know if this place just has a revolving door of really inquisitive people or if it's the same people being really inquisitive on a schedule or what, so I'll just throw this out there to answer some of the questions you guys tend to throw out there if you really want to know.
1. Morality exists. "Good" and "evil" do not. I can try to explain this to you if you don't get it but people can't be truly good or evil, it's not something that happens. If you're wondering whether you're either, you're not.
2. People can't be broken either. I don't care what people say, on a fundamental level people can't be broken and you probably aren't either and if you're saying you are it's probably an excuse for not doing what you know you should be doing.
3. Everyone gets held responsible for their crap in the end. All of it, whether you meant to do it or not. Stuff you did that was bad, stuff that you did that you don't think was bad but hurt someone anyway, and all the good stuff too – you're going to get all that held up against you someday, either while you're alive or afterwards. So stop being a jackass and go make amends, you'll thank me later.
4. No one can judge the living. While you're still alive, you can change almost anything about your fate, so stop being stupid and go change stuff if you're not happy with the idea of dying tomorrow. Always make sure you'd be okay if you died tomorrow, just as a basic rule.
You can say whatever you want to any of that, I guess you can ask questions if you've got any, just know that I've got all of this stuff on good authority if you're bothered by any of this stuff or the answers you get. It weirds me out how many people don't know this sort of thing but it's something everyone kind of already knows back where I came from so I guess that's what's going on there. Do whatever you guys want with it or ignore it and go play with your fuzzy animals for a while, I don't really care.
[...Well, okay then.
Look, he's not used to actually talking to living people about this sort of thing. It's a little obvious, but there was an...attempt or something.]

Jun. 2nd, 2015 08:54 amTwo questions.
[Well, it looks like someone's back on the network now that all the general insanity is...mostly over; audio-only again, because apparently that's just how he's going to do things.]
One: is there some way to get levels on your Pokémon without making them fight? I've got one who's decided he's a lover, not a fighter, which is cute and all but he needs the levels and I'm not going to see if the stupid trees will let me wish levels onto him.
[He pauses for a moment once that's out there, though.]
The other thing is that I misplaced a couple people. Somehow. They were here this weekend; I can't find them as of yesterday.
One's fine on her own. The other's someone who shouldn't be wandering around by herself.
[God, no one explained fourth wall to him.]

May. 30th, 2015 04:18 pm[So this place just went insane over the last couple of days.
While it'd normally be enough to send Ginti back to the network, wanting to know exactly what's going on and perhaps more importantly why we all have weirdass powers bestowed on us by the powers that be this weekend, the fact that he's also feeling kind of different lately is more than enough to make him pause before he does it; beyond that, it's a matter of verifying that his eyes are back to the way they should be and time doesn't feel like it's passing for him physically anymore because it quite simply isn't (and that's one of the weirdest things he's experienced here, it's just not something he's wanted to put into words for anyone) and, well.
He's always carrying some sort of water supply on him, even here, because old habits die hard; it's been a while since he's gotten to use it; it isn't long before he's found a route and Prima's sent out and he's trading blows with her at very high speed – not physically, but rather through his own particular brand of slightly less-broken waterbending bullshit. It's fairly obvious that they're not aiming to do any actual damage – Prima is a little slip of a Horsea still but she'd probably manage to ruin a human's day if she really felt the need to do it, and Ginti can very definitely ruin people's days if he really feels the need to do it, but as it is this is looking to be one of the few things Ginti has enjoyed doing since he got here.
Because god, humanization sucks.
So if you want to talk to him...well, he's probably going to be soaked as fuck by the time he's done messing with his Pokémon over there but at the very least he won't mind the sudden approach half as much as he usually does, and sometimes that's about as much as anyone can ask for.]

002. Audio / Action for Cherrygrove City
May. 13th, 2015 09:55 pm[AUDIO]
...So I've heard this is a video game or something.
[Well, hello again – it's audio-only from Ginti again, though it sounds like he's managed to find his way to Cherrygrove without anything too stupid happening; he still sounds approximately a thousand percent done with everything and everyone, but that...might just be his normal tone, really.
Either way, thanks for the explanation, Lancer, he appreciates it. Sorta. As much as he can appreciate an explanation that stupid.]
Not like I'm trying to be weird about it, but is this the sort of game where we get a whole bunch of save points, or do we Game Over as soon as we walk off a cliff or what?
[...WELL, OKAY THEN.]
[ACTION]
[Anyway.
After Ginti's...that is out there, he can be found kind of wandering Cherrygrove for the better part of the day; he's been here for a while, and it's actually not too bad? Now that it's decided to quit raining, anyway.
He hasn't really seemed to mind the rain, though, even when it was going full force; he's been spending a lot of time on the beach, doing...god only knows what outside of staring at it a lot. He can be found there today as well, though he seems to be entertaining himself well enough up on the rocks as opposed to just being listless; his balance seems good enough that he won't be testing the results of the question he was asking earlier anytime soon, but it's something to do with himself that doesn't involve other people, so naturally he's probably sort of asking to be bothered.
He's not all that great at conversation, but he wouldn't be too opposed to it, either. Probably. Maybe. Kinda. He's sort of a social crapshoot like that.]

001. Audio / Action for New Bark Town
May. 4th, 2015 01:21 pm[AUDIO]
[Well, it seems one of your new arrivals is having a bit of a moment with the smartphone, as the first thing to hit the network from this device is...well, thirty seconds of static, followed by noise that sounds like someone's moving downstairs, and then some really muffled conversation in the background that's not particularly useful in terms of figuring out what's going on before the sound cuts off and switches to text instead.]
[TEXT]
qqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQ
[AUDIO]
[Okay. Okay, let's try that again. It seems something has been worked out, though there's still no video; whoever this is, it seems they're feeling both irritable and to-the-point today.]
...Is anyone going to help that woman, or is she just a part of the experience?
[...Yeah. Good afternoon to all of you, too.]
[ACTION FOR NEW BARK]
[While that certainly was a thing that just happened, it doesn't seem Ginti is going to be helping Mom himself; that said, he doesn't seem to know what to do with himself as it is. For the time being he's content to lean up against the side of Mom's place, near the door, looking like he's not altogether sure what to do with himself but trying to give off the impression that he does anyway. He's dressed like your average twentysomething bartender, all monochromatic with sleeves rolled up and collar open underneath his vest like he is just about out of damns to give; the effect is dampened a little by the bright blue seahorse poking its head out of the apron at his waist, about where the tips should be if he were on the job.
At the very least Prima is quite unlike her trainer in that she's perfectly happy to be here, as is evidenced by the light trilling noises she makes every time anyone happens to go by; Ginti is making no effort to hide the eyerolling he's doing every time she does it, but he doesn't seem too inclined to stop her, either.
Really, he looks like he's waiting for something, though god only knows what; it could be anything from basic instructions to the immediate end of the world for all he seems to care.]
