You know, I was going to ask whether anyone else has seen these things running around, but that's pretty much a completely moot point by now if the panic all over is anything to judge by.

So at risk of asking a dumb question, I'm going to wonder why these things are so damn violent – apparently everyone's getting mauled all over, when even failed captures don't get up and decide to bite you. Is there a reason these things are so freaked out, or...

Is this thing okay? It doesn't even have a face, and that's probably why the damn thing hasn't bitten me yet.

Most people here've been saying that they have no idea what they're looking at - they've never seen anything like this. What incident are you talking about?

... You've listened to the sorts of things the outsiders here talk about just over the network, yes? Would it really seem so absurd that someone here pulled a stunt like this without thinking of the consequences?

Not exactly - I just want to know where they got the power to play fast and loose with the Pokémon like this, because this particular sort of stunt is a bit above pretty much everybody's pay grade.

That is why I'm over here, and it's over there. Closer than I probably should be to it, yeah, but my reflexes are pretty good and I'm trying not to piss it off too much.

I'm not trying to catch it, anyway, not without knowing what the hell it is.

[There's a pause as Elsa tries to think about just how indeed that could have happened, and when she speaks again, her tone is... a bit more concerned than annoyed.]

Those... "legendary" Pokemon are said to have very strange powers, do they not? Is it possible that someone, whether they be an outsider or a native to this land, has finally managed to capture one?

[It's absurd, but... she was there for the battle between Team Aqua and Team Magma. Seeing the destructive power those monsters they controlled wielded... that was power on a whole different level.]

I've also heard how the locals talk about them. You think someone caught God, that's what you're saying?

[That's...]

I mean, I'm not saying that's impossible. Hell, I wouldn't even put it past people? You give some people the idea and they'll go running off to do all sorts of things in the name of power or control.

I guess the other question is which legendary thing they messed with, if that's what we're going with.

[Ringabel's face scrunches as he leans toward the camera. That's... Certainly strange. And a good question. No face means no mouth, which means eating should be impossible...]

Hmm... Well, I've found that my Aegislash tends to eat through his eye of all places. This has been consistent since he was a honedge.

Perhaps the same applies to this creature?

Hm, I suppose capture isn't the right word. At least, not in the traditional sense. But... it certainly seems like it's possible to control a legendary, at least for a short amount of time. I've seen it happen before.

[... It didn't really end all that well, and cause WAY more chaos than a bunch of weird mashed-up pokemon running around is doing, but...]

That I have no idea how to answer. I've read up on a few of the legendary creatures of this region in particular, but it doesn't seem like the ones that once lived here could be doing something like this. But... that doesn't leave out the possibility that something from a different region has shown up here.

...There were a couple maniacs running around last year, weren't there? Around this time, too, if I'm remembering it right - I wasn't here, but I've heard about it. Just idle talk here and there, couple crazy guys nearly ended the world.

If that's what this is - again - is there just something in the water in October, or what?

Well... That jewel for its face seems familiar. I'm pretty sure there's a water type like that. Some sort of starfish.

My concern is more with why it's like that because I am pretty sure it's not supposed to be like that.

Correct. They were rival criminal organizations from another region, like that Team Rocket that plagues Johto and Kanto. Each leader had control of a Legendary Pokemon - Groudon and Kyogre, I believe their names were - and decided to wreck pointless violence here. We were able to hold them and their subordinates off before things truly got bad, but that destructive power those pokemon were capable of...

[She sighs, and though he can't see it, she shakes her head.]

I've never seen anything like it before. It was terrifying.

This sort of thing happens a lot.

Do be gentle! These... erm, unique Pokémon seem to have a bit of a temper. Be grateful yours lacks the odor of some of the others I've seen.

Truth be told, I'm not sure what to make of them, though I'd heard that there was a similar influx of new species this time last year.

[Hagakure's pretty sure he's never seen anything like this either...but he at least kinda recognizes what it's made up of.]

Well, I talked to one kid about the weird Pokemon that attacked him. He said it was like a Furret, but not. It was pink with wings. I didn't actually see what it looked like though, but judging from what the kid said it wasn't an entirely new Pokemon.

But this thing...it's totally a Tauros and Starmie mix! It makes me wonder if that Furret was mixed with something too, if it's not some kinda new evolution.

...Sounds it. Like I said, people'll do all sorts of things once you give them the power to do it; catching god-figures like that's just asking for something stupid like that to happen.

They haven't been trouble since, though, right? I mean, I've never heard of them, anyway.

I've got no idea what could have caused that, though; even the weird stuff radiation supposedly does in this world doesn't cause mutations like that, at least not to my knowledge.

I've noticed.

There's usually a little more consistency than this, though, weird bulls with a rock for a face are a new one. I'd get it if there was more than one maybe? But there are apparently all sorts of weird things that aren't this showing up everywhere, usually when there's new weird stuff it's in swarms of weird stuff.

Yeah, it seems really irritated but at least it's not that. I'm just going to consider myself lucky, I guess.

How many of those things have you seen? The thing you sent me just now - how many have you seen that are exactly like that, or is it just the one of them?

I wonder if it has something to do with the month?
